SADDLE FITTING

If you are unsure about any of the saddles fitting that are offered in our auction, we are happy to be able to offer you our template service. Please send us your template (please see below). We can then confirm to you whether that saddle you are interested in will fit your horse/pony.

To Measure Your Existing Saddle

Seat Size
Carefully measure from the midpoint at the front of the saddle in a diagonal line to the cantle.

Approximate Guide

12.2hh-13.2hh 14" to 15"
13.2hh - 15hh 15" to 16"
Over 15hh 161/2" or 17"

Width Fitting

Measure just below the cut back head just above the padding for the knee rolls. If you do not have an existing saddle, then take a wire coat hanger and mould it to the horses withers, then draw around it on a piece of paper you post (it has to be by post to make sure the sizing is correct!) so we can check the measurement for you. If even after using our template service the saddle is still the wrong size, we will be happy to exchange it for you providing it is returned to us in as "new" condition.
